can i get it at a bank? and if not where and will it cost money

how much money approximately and plz help me out if they asked for my security # should i give it to them

Not sure what your question here. Clarify what your objective is and why you want it would be a good start.

If your are needing a legal document notarized, then a Bank would be a good place to go and you would need some identification, like a State issued driver's license, which they should put in their Notary book in case they are ever called to Court to testify to ensure that they met their due diligence; however, in the Notary Public capacity, in the 6 years I was a Notary, at no time did I ever ask a person for their Social Security number as it is not necessary.

Now, if you are opening a bank account or trying to cash a check at a bank, especially if it is over $3,000 in most States, you will need not only your State issued ID but advise them of your Social Security number as it is required for federal reporting purposes to prevent money laundering or other illegal transactions.

I think mostly like a century 21 cause thats where i went one time usually maybe someone that does taxes. I hope u get help but that is my best answer and I am not sure about security# I hope someone gives u better answer and help

Look up a "public notary" in your area in the yellow pages (or internet version. And yes, they do cost money (unless they are your friend and willing to not charge you).
