I work in a store that has been having trouble bringing in customers a little bit lately. We've had special sales and stuff but none of it has really had that big of an effect on our sales.

We sell clothes that appeal to the youngins (I'm 21, I'm just calling them that to get the point across) and also clothes for older people. Sort of like a JC Penny-ish type store only with waaaay better Muzak (store music) we also sell awesome awesome furniture.

What would bring you into a store?

ooh so we have this 33% off clearance thing we do so you can get stuff real realy cheap like $5 bucks for mecca and polo and tommy and lucky brand shirts, we sell all brand name stuff. we also have $10 off a $50 purchase coupons and things like that.

all the girls that work there are cute =P

so I don't know what we're doing wrong?

We're not in a mall, we're right across from a grocery store on a popular intersection.

Thanks everyone so far for your suggestions =D

If i could get free pretty underwear or accessories with my purchase i would want to shop. Or if it was a coupon for somehwhere else if i bought some clothes at the store. At this one store i go to they have this coupon where you can buy 50 dollars worth of clothes and it only cost 30 dollars. Thats a good coupon. I'm really trying to think of something else, i know these ideas might sound dumb to you but i'm really trying to think...well anyway i hope i helped you in some way.

Not just the store you work in. Am in retail business. Some businesses are traditionally slow during Summer months and others are slower this year because of high gasoline costs. Business people within the community talk at Chamber of Commerce meetings and such. June was an especially awful month this year for lots of people I know in business. Weather in a particular region, is also one of the factors controlling the shopping mood.

A cute guy at the front of the store handing out coupons to people walking by (I'm assuming this is in a mall).
