Lets face it the "cover" is the first thing you see and if that does not attract then it is not likely that he will bother to even get to know the person on the inside. Every body judges on first impression its the "Halo Effect" You are likely to atribute less bad traits to an attractive person. And if you see a woman who is clothes size26 you may think she is lazy and greedy but she may eat very little and walk miles every day but have a metabolic disorder. It is not just men who make judgments on women other women do too and treat people on their narrow sterotypes.

Yes, and whats under the covers. If ya got it flaunt it and that goes for intelligence as well but this is always last on the list. The style, fit and plunging neckline as well as the hairdo and wild lipstick come first! Does a woman really think a man wants that lipstick smeared all over him? O the makeup powder? Natural beauty is most attracting to me as color of the eyes , hair and how she holds herself when she stands and walks. [but I'm an old man] I'm out of style today

i wouldn't treat her more differently, as to say a not so pretty id treat less, but i would be more likely to be attracted quicker and would maybe ask her out sooner, but really its the over all package i prefer to look into the eyes the windows to the soul, find out something of her first so as i would have more respect for her and me, i try not to be to judgemental, but I'm human and i see the world in my mind full of needs, wants, desires, hart aches, memory's, filters, turn ons and offs.
each has its own merit, positive and negative. its not a fair question to say yes or no, it also depends on what mood I'm in, how I'm feeling with myself and life, but i guess more often than not i would say yes if i was simply and matter of fact honest

I think that most people judge others by there appearance, men AND woman. People might use stereotypes as well. Like if a man see a pretty blonde he might think shes another ditsy dumb blonde but she could very well be quite intelligent.

Of course they do. Why? Who knows? They don't even know.
An attractive girl is pleasing to the eye. It makes a man feel good, excited, alive.
Why do women take so much delight in clothes, shoes, their hair, the way they're dressed, the way a guy dresses and looks, etc? They just do.

Let me answer. I'm a woman. And yes it is true. Just watch a man. Let's see he meets a beautiful, thin, tall woman. How would he treat her? Now let's say another woman comes up to the table and she is short, fat, and in a not so flattering dress. How do you think he would treat her? Of course, there would be a difference. The man would try to impress the first woman and he would hope that second one that wandered up would just go away.

Everyone does this and its nobodys "fault" bcoz its in our genes. Its just like animals, a bird will show off its plummage to the females to mate and the female will mate with the strongest and healthiest male purely so that she will have the strongest and healthiest babies................we are attracted to ppl with symmetrical faces aswell, meaning we are attracted to ppl who's left side of their face is the exact match to their right side and usually these ppl are extremely good looking.
This is just built in2 our genes and we can't change it.........we are naturally attracted to beautiful ppl because the unconscious mind tells us we will have beautiful babies which gives them a better chance of survival also.

Gotta be honest! As a constant browser (single) in a large bookstore, I cannot help but be attracted by the cover first. But when I get down to actually reading...content is everything.

unfortunately most of them do, but its wrong as some women are not all barbie material on the surface, but underneath there is a lovely individual who is very warm naturered, has a lot of genuine love to give out, but don't often get a second glance because of first impressions.

I think first impressions are very important. If a girl dresses trampy and displays little discretion, the guys tend to assume she is "easy" or even a tramp.
I always try to dress appropriately and with respect for myself.
It pays off when guys hold a door open for me or show polite regard for me.
