This man came up to my door, and i opend it....he said he needed 50 dollars at first, and that his kid was in the hospitil becuse he just got shot ...he was a very nice man, so i thoght since he was so nice, i would get it for him....so i opened up my wallet and i had $4074 dollars in it....he noticed it and asked how much was ther and i told him how much was in ther...he told me if i gave him 4000 of it, he wold pay me back $8000 as soon as posibl...he promisd..... he lookked very sad...i thoght to myself since he promisd and looked sad, he would give me it bak....i think i did a very good favor to him, his kid and all............Most people woldn't do somthing that nice, because ther selffish......Do you think i made the right desision?

It doesnt matter .. and if other people call u an idiot .. they do not know what charity is ... charity isnt giving money to the hands of sum1s hus gonna die... but even watering a plant in a wild desert can be charity ... u did a very generous act of charity ... Whoa, one part of me is saying "YOU'RE STUPID!!" But another part is saying that you are the most wonderful person in the whole world giving some random person that great amount of money. I commend u on giving 4000 dollars to somebody. God Bless you!

No, I don't think it was a good idea, but I guess it's already been done and all you can hope for now is that he was truthful and will pay you back or that hopefully, since you seem so proud of yourself, that he will help his child or at least remember what you did and "pay it forward" to someone else who will be in need from him someday.

No..you have probably just been ripped off big time. Next time if you have the money to give donate to a charity or a children's hospital or any hospital. I hope this will not prevent you from being so kind in the future....you have a kind and giving heart.

i think that was really really nice of you but it was a little stupid chances are if he only wanted 50 dollars than he's probably homeless but giving him 4000 is like going on the street and handing money to some random person

Well seeing has you didn't know the man I would say you didn't dothe right thing but since your intentions were good yes because regardless to whether he does pay you back when you need something the most God will be there to help you.

it was nice that you did something like that, but you should be really careful, next time you should go down to the hospital to make sure because you can't always trust a look, but I really hope that he was sincere and pays you back, if not take it as a life lesson that you learn from

No, most of these people begging for money for funerals and or hurt loved ones are bluffers. They just want to take your money at any cost no matter what. I think you made a wrong decision because the man will not contact you back and if he left his information it's almost most likely that its fake.
