I personally love both; TV has interesting shows that I learn from and/or relieve my stress (humor, etc.) and books do the same, except it may take a little bit longer to do!
What do you prefer?

I like the show mythbusters a lot...they do some crazy stuff on there and I am either holding my breath or laughing my azz off like crazay!!! I like to read but like you said it takes longer to kinda get into the mood to relax...

It really does depend on what type of mood I'm in or what's on the TV. I love the History Channel, Discovery and Animal Planet, along with a few of the crime shows on A&E like "American Justice," "City Confidential," and "Cold Case Files." Oh, and let's not forget "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy" for good humor!
However, there are those days when I just want to curl up on the couch with a good book and a hot cup or tea or chocolate.

The television is alright I suppose, but I prefer books. I believe books are more interesting and they make you think for yourself. Television typically makes you zone out. Besides, every time I try to watch one of those reality shows I swear I am actually losing thinking capabilities. Something about those shows just make me feel stupid.

I prefer books, which is just as well, because my children kind of rule the television. I don't like the news because it is depressing. I like the Weather Channel. Isn't that stupid? :)
