Is that why I'm only 5ft 2in? cause when I was a kid I laid down on the floor all the time while watching tv, and people would step over me.

Hi Rios,
Maybe I am right or wrong, but thats what I deducted, generally people avoid crossing over a person who is dead as there is no growth in a person who is not alive and ethically also it is not considered right,so while laying on ground it is generally avoided to cross over the body,as it is thought to be in a negative vibes.
And being a kid,it is a growing stage and no parent or person would like their kid to be cross over, you know at the back of the mind there are some thoughts which lay unconsciously but pop up when faced with some situations,

The nicest possible way I can answer that is... no. At least one if not a dozen people walked over me, back when I was 3 feet tall, and now I'm over 6 feet tall. Unless some ripple in the space time continuum corrected all these crossing after the fact then the myth is definitely false.

I'm gonna say No to this one mostly because you are referring to some type of ritualistic process that most likely involves spells or incantations. It was probably once used as some type of protection ritual or something like that and only certain parts of it carry over and then become myth because although they have SOME of the part's of it, they don't have ALL the information so then it doesn't work and then people are like "that's a myth"

There is usually some truth buried down in almost all myths, legends and stories. I have never heard of this before, however, now I am intrigued. Hope you find your answer to this curious superstition. I can't imagine how it would be true...magik, curses or healing, white or black, has to have the pure force of will and intention to fuel it. If this was a random act done without intent or purpose, I highly doubt it would affect anyone in any way.

think of myths as the game phone line. Yes they are real but as time go buy people add things or take things out to make it sound better

The reason they call it a myth in the first place is because myths aren't at all true.
