Ah, just one point: when talking about fossil fuels, petroleum comes from animal remains while coal, plant remains.

Abiogenic petroleum is not impossible, if we work out the equations. But the presence of abiogenic methane in other planets is not enough to completely refute the biological origin of petroleum here on Earth.

So far, we have been able to synthesize components of petroleum in the lab but have yet to find a natural process here on Earth that could mimic the Fischer-Tropsch process (carbon dioxide + water -> hydrocarbons).

You see, there's more to naturally-occurring chemical reactions than reactants and products. You still have to mind the temperature and pressure of the environment and other substances present, at the very least. What reactions may naturally occur in Titan may have to be "coaxed" here on Earth because conditions in these two bodies are glaringly dissimilar.

Methane as an 'primordial` gas, has been a principle in astronomy for years.
They've been finding it practically everywhere with radio astronomy.
It's always been a known constituent of comets, (remnats of the origional gas cloud that formed the solar system).
To expect that some non-biological process polymerizes methane into petroleum is this guys fantasy.
Nothing new here except this jamoke is trying to sell his snake oil.
