I personally love Virgos. (I'm married to one). They are always logical, don't pick on others, they are very fair, keep things clean, and work very hard toward their goals. I have not found one yet that I did not get along with. I'm a cancer.

Although my relationship with a Virgo wasn't good (he was very controlling), I get along quite well with most Virgos. They are good people, helpful, considerate, and have wonderful work ethics. However, most Virgos I know are quite shy and don't really put themselves out there for love. They are also perfectionists. So I think in many ways, a relationship will never be perfect, so it scares them off. However, I've read that Virgos go great with Capricorns, Tauruses, Cancers, and Scorpios.

It takes time and effort to win the love of a Virgo.
Often you have to "think" your way through a relationship with a Virgo - to understand that when they nag you, it means they care and that when they do little helpful things for you, they are trying to show their love.
Not everyone fancies the idea of "working" for love, but anyone who has managed to achieve the love of a Virgo will know that all that effort is worth it. Virgos can make their loved ones feel very cared for.

you might find this interesting and helpful...
Your ideal mate will be intuitive, have a strong magnetism, and be a visionary who sees the future. They will help you not to worry so much through their humor and sensitivity to life's ironies. Your ideal mate will be impulsive and self-reliant when it comes to money and possessions. They had a childhood which involved two types of family relations with inherent conflict. Your mate needs security and a sense of their own space to be creative or really have fun. They will want to be the boss, but are very loyal and clever when working for someone else.
Your ideal mate will need regenerative ideas and more effective information to evolve their spiritual potential. Debate helps them explore broader possibilities and they will definitely need to go back to school at some point to expand their higher potential. A natural teacher, they have aptitude in media, writing, speaking, or anything that promises freedom or enjoyable travel possibilities. They have the power of persistence and will defer immediate gratification to focus on future prizes. Willfulness, eccentricity, and erratic behavior bring them sorrow, so assist them to see a noble, heart-oriented view of things to find more of the consistent love they want.

I fell in love with a Virgo once. She broke my heart, but it was her that did the leaving not me. I think they have trouble being happy with what they have and do things to sabotage themselves when they are happy.
I wish to note, however, that gross generalizations aren't always true. Also, astrological signs and horoscopes should be taken with a grain of salt and interpreted in a way that is most useful to the individual.

haha my friend's a virgo, and although she has a really sweet personality, she's very critical. lol my friend and i wonder if she will ever get married, because she's so hard to please. men love her, because she's their perfect ideal, but she can't seem to like a guy long enough to settle down with him. she always picks up on their negative qualities, consequently making her quite elusive in the dating game. she's 20 now, but she's only had one boyfriend her entire life (who existed only because she had trouble saying 'no'). and, believe me, she one of the best catches around, so personality is definitely not a factor. unfortunately, she (and I think virgos in general), just have incredibly high standards!

I've been with several Virgos, and they were all hard to read and deal with. I need to have more intimacy than the typical Virgo allows.

I'm a Taurus and happily married for 26 years to a Virgo.
They are tough in ways but soft as butter in others. I'm tough in ways and soft too. We just matched . So it can work. Just takes work to help them stop worrying and analyzing things to death.

We strive for perfection.. (more in ourselves then others.. but when we don't feel up to our own standards we can be hard to handle).. We notice EVERYTHING.. it's not the big gestures that stand out.. we nit pick.. I liked the first answer on here.. that fits as well.. We rarely get into a relationship unless we plan on it lasting forever.. and if it doesn't... it's like the world changes..and then it's even HARDER for us to trust someone new..

Virgos are underhandingly silently controlling. Very quite but always make money.
