About Alec the Dalek being deleted? Since he is one of my favorites I want to quit. But who wrote the so called "community" guidelines we are supposedly governed by? We are not really a community at all are we? As far as I'm concerned Yahoo can have their stupid tote bag and shove it up their enironmentally concious assholes (yes I know that is two words but they would not print it if I made it that way)

Perhaps we are a community but certainly not a democratic one.

More IMPORTANT battles? What is worth fighting for if it is not the reputation of a friend?

Shy of driving everyone down to the YA! corporate headquarters and blowing up their server (and maybe torching the Yamster's limo for good measure) I'm just going to recuperate and bask in the glow of good friends such as yourself. :)

I have taken issues on several times (to no avail).
You get the standard, we will check into it....
Never got the points back, an explanation or ruling, unless of course it is still in voting.
Which brings up another issue, I vote on undecided questions that have been tied up for a year.....ridiculous.
If someone asks a question you should not have to wait a year for it to be resolved.
So far as your friend, I think the way most of the real offenders do it, is just to open a new account...they do not seem to pick up on that so quickly as they do bogus reports.
OK, venting over. thank you for asking my opinion.

We tried yesterday, we all posted in support of our dear Dalek's appeal. However, it not only fell on deaf ears, but about 8 posts were completely deleted.

So, it looks like we are at their mercy and at the mercy of the trolls. Very sad, very said indeed.

Enjoy your day!

Seriously, besides me, who crosses a Dalek?

We are all invited to participate in this forum but it is run by the Yahoo corporation and they make the decisions.

Nothing much. Yahoo creates the rules/community guidelines (right or wrong) and they own the service. They can choose to deny service if they believe rules have been violated.
It really is that simple. I'm not happy about it either, but there are more important battles to fight in life.

Edit: LOL! I didn't realize your friend's reputation was so highly dependent on his/her standing on Yahoo. Tell your friend to create a new account and move on.

Absolutely dick all, I'm afraid. We can post and appeal, and they just delete it.
