does anyone know where to get free cencus records i try alot of sights that say its free until you get on there.and thats not the case.looking for years 1915-1950 for alabama

You can't get census records that are younger than 70 years old. The government hasn't released them after 1930 for privacy reasons.

That said, the library may have sites that have free information on line. Mine does. Give it a try. Ancestry.com has more information, but you have to pay for it.

I've done this before to prove a teacher wrong, but it was the US census. I searched only .gov websites using google, with the keyword something like "census records". You kind of have to look around, but I found pdf's of the actual pages of the report. Good luck!
