if you scored higher than twenty you may need to read the book. That is just my opinion.

In my opinion, the test can't tell anyone jack sh1t. For the same reasons as with so many other tests, it has the potential to produce non-race related results.

Examples:

"When speaking to whites, I consciously try to alter my grammar and pronunciation so that I sound more like them, "proper.""
----Many people try to do this. And, often times, it's situation-specific rather than race-specific. In other words, a person may alter his/her speech in order to impress a potential employer (regardless of race).

"When I go to events where I am the only black person in attendance, I feel self-conscious."
----What in HELL??? Are whites the only other people in the world? What if you're the only black person in a group of Asians?

"I hesitate to take on certain professional responsibilities because I don't believe I have the ability to master them."
----Since when did only black people do this? Lots of people feel this way. DUH.

"If I were to suddenly lose my present means of employment, I think I would have great difficulty surviving."
----Since when did someone have to be black to feel this way?

"I found myself defensively making excuses for my answers as I filled out this questionnaire."
----This is exceptionally stupid since it isn't unbelievable at all that people would have perfectly good reasons for answering one way or the other. I can't see why anyone wouldn't be able to recognize that.

This questionnaire is clearly open to interpretation.

It looks, to me, like this irrelevant little piece of crap just might have been designed to cause blacks to second guess themselves.

Just my opinion.

I scored a 7 too. I feel so sorry for the people who put fours on all the questions. They need mental help...

A few questions for you, from a lurker?
Users like Robert Shelton, Ella, Dr C Shore, etc come here and post a hateful, racist question.

1. why do you respond to them??? You are only egging them on.

2. why do you complain about their racism when you yourselves are racist against them? The white trash stereotypes, honkey and cracker name calling are racism.

3. why do you respond with such hatred and venom? Wishing someone to be murdered? When you allow the racist to bring out that kind of hatred of you, the racist wins. You have sunk down to their level.

I'm white- To be honest I am glad I am not dealing with that kind of baggage, worried that if I am attracted to people with darker skin or curlier hair that it is because of racism.
