I'm 13 years old and have completed a story I'm very proud of. Is there anywhere that I can submit a manuscript? Not a self-publishing place, but an actual publisher? If all you know about is a self-publisher, I guess that be okay, but I'm really looking for the real deal. Please let me know. Thanks.

The key thing is to find authors that you know who are famous or have many books published and look where they sent their manuscripts know. Sometimes they started out at smaller publishers. Many authors do not stay with the same publishers their whole life. I hope this helps with what little time I have. Doubleday book club also is a publisher and they even can answer questions about where you could turn to in submitting a manuscript.
