I know i'm good looking, but why do I still feel insecure?

I think that we all feel that way about one thing or another about ourselves. Maybe there's some things about yourself that your not so secure about, maybe it's a subconscious thing. People can tell you your great looking but maybe you don't think so, or maybe you see the imperfections that others don't. I know people tell me I'm good looking and I actually hate that, and I think it's because I see the things that I don't like about myself and think others see it too, but it seems like they don't even notice until I point it out to them. The brain and the way it works is a curious thing isn't it. We could be told that we're great at doing something like playing guitar, art, etc, and no matter what someone says about it we always find fault with it, weird isn't it. A group of us had this discussion one night and it seems like most of us are like that, so I guess it's just human nature !!! Cheer up your not alone !

it would seem to be pretty normal. You are vain and shallow and insecure because you actually are smart enough to know that there is much more to life than what you look like or what the girl on your arm looks like. So grab a bit of courage and do something about it.

Good looks doesn't make a person feel secured. What constitutes a feeling of security is when you possess the abilities of a well-rounded person, one who have reached the level of confidence within himself whatever the situation would be.

because looks have nothing to do with it. It's who you believe you are that matters. Plenty of unattractive people are confident and secure. Looks only get you through the first 3 or 4 seconds with someone. Then you get into all the other stuff..... intelligence, humor, integrity, charisma, friendliness, wit, charm, etc...

Because not everyone can appreciate beauty and will try to tear you down because of it...but don't let them.

Use your gifts to your fullest potential.

That said, looks alone aren't everything. What's on the inside counts for even more.

And please don't make the mistake of being arrogant...nothing turns outer beauty ugly faster than that.

Probably because you fear that people only like you from the way you look, and not who you really are inside....

Or probably because you fear that people could not see past the external attractiveness that you present on the facade into the beauty that you actually posses inside...

Or probably because you fear the stigma of beauty you were forced to uphold and you worry that people would not accept whatever truth you keep inside....

Or probably because you fear the expectation of perfection others would assume of you simply from what they had perceived looking from the outside...

If you would accept my simple advise
That is to know and to love yourself first
Before you would be comfortable in allowing others
to know and to love you in return......

How we look has little to do with security. Security generally refers to a state of vulnerability or risk. Vulnerability is often just a perception and not necessarily reality.

if you dont like what is on the inside it is hard to feel good about the inside, so work on your inner beauty and old issues that haven't been delt with and you will be okay god bless
