what would you do if you were under constant threat of suicide bombs killing you and your family. israel has never instigated a war. i admit the last conflict with lebanon was handled poorly but israel did everything in its power to limit civilian casualties. but i will say again, look at the history books israel has never stuck first and the Palestinians are constantly bombing israelis and people call israel the terrorists.

let me respond to a few things said. first of all arabs israeli citizens have the best living conditions of any arab people in the middle east. second the israelis bought the land from the "Palestinians" who are actually jordanians and did not exist until the 60s. jewish settlers turned desert isnto a livable nation, something that never would have happened if controlled by arabs. and by the way i resent being called nieve. i know more about the conflict then you ever will, you conspiricy theorist jew hating asshole.

yes israel did strike preemptively but that was only because they were being threatened and provoked. however, they have always put diplomacy first. what about the unilateral pullout of gaza and the wast bank

People who say Israel is evil for defending themselves are naive at best.
If someone broke into your house and started shooting at you, you'd be well within your rights to shoot back. Same logic applies.
For those who say Israel is a nation who stole Palestine after world war 2, apply that logic to yourselves. If you're living in the US--the land you live on didn't always belong to you, your family, or your race. It's no less yours, is it?
So, I'm with you. The critics of Israel say the land wasn't always Israel's and that they stole it. Israel denies that claim and says their claim to that land stretches back many many centuries before being stolen by the people who were evicted after WW2. But even if you give the critics the arguement that the land wasnt originally Israel's, so what?
People who are living on land not originally theirs at the beginning of time (I guess that means pretty much the entire world population) shouldn't be yelling that a nation who was given land in a land apportionment deal in reparation for the anguish, loss and tortures they endured, and who now choses to defend that land is evil.
Its just stupid.

Check your history book again, Israel did strike first in the Six Day War in 1967 with a pre-emptive air strike against the Egyptian air force. They launched it after severe provocation from Nasser, but they did strike first. Also, Israel has essentially had an army of occupation in the West Bank, Gaza and the Golan Height since 1967. Terror is a weapon of the weak. If the Palestinians had an army comparable to the Israelis, they would use it. Instead they respond with suicide bombings and ambushes, while Israel counters with air and artillery strikes, and the occassional invasion. There is no black and white, just a lot of gray ....and red.

Science is a method; religion is a conclusion. When read literally, religion almost always contradicts reality. When read metaphorically, it's pretty much just pointless. What's the metaphor of there being a dome over the Earth which rain falls through.. of illness being caused by demons and curses.. of stars being tiny objects that can "fall" to the Earth.. etc? If these are metaphors, they're very strange metaphors, and they're not helpful. Another problem is that nowhere in the Bible (the source of religion in your examples) does it say where the metaphor starts or ends, or what part is literal. Although I've gotta completely agree that if a God exists, than he created nature, and therefore studying nature can only let us learn about God.. God's creation can't "contradict" God. The creationists are arguing for a deceptive God. The problem with getting rid of all the factual claims in religion is that there's not much left after that. It can be "true" in the same way that a Spider Man comic is "true". Sure there are some nice quotes in the Bible, but same with many other religions, and many non-religous writings. There are also some horrible immoral things. But as long as we're using our judgment to say what parts of the Bible are factually true (science), and using our moral judgments to cherry pick the parts that are moral, it's not much of a "source" for anything.

You have a very slanted polluted view of history if you truly believe the Jews of Israel have "never struck first." Personally speaking I think the US government should stop funding the war machine called Israel. This would force the Jews to get off their high horse and start seeking a lasting resolution to the problems in the Middle East.

There's a lot of anti-Semites in the world that just want the Jews to go away, period. There happens to also be that group that naively thinks that if Israel keeps giving up land and going back to pre-1967 borders they will have peace. However, the Arab nations seem to not want that peace. Hamas and Hezbollah are dedicated to Israel's destruction, as is seemingly most of the world.
As for the Palestine problem...the Arabs were given their own land in the 1948 partition of Palestine into Israel and Transjordan by the United Nations. It was them that decided to launch all-out war against Israel for the purpose of wiping them off the map.

well you seem a little young and naive. after WWII zionists flocked to palastine, waged a succussful terrorist campaign against the english, the usa intervened to get the brits to pull out of palastine, this pleased jewish investors n usa politicians and kept jews from coming to america. jews quickly drove palastinians out of their homes and into refugee camps where they have now been for three generations. other arab countries won't take them in. palastinians live in horrible conditions dictated to them by israelis.
it's not as one sided as you've been led to believe by the jewish media

Just compare....
Look at what the US did in response to one terrorist attack in September 2001.
Compare that to what Israel has done in response to one terrorist attack per month (on average) for the last 40 years....
