1] bring several pair of VERY comfortable walking shoes -
sandals, sneakers, ballet flats, moccasins. Alternate shoes every day, so they dry out and are more comfortable.
2] check expected weather conditions and temperature range = pack for correct season!
3] check schedule of events - how many outings, formal events, ? dinner with captain, etc.
4] bring at least one complete outfit for every day, as well as work out gear, and any formalwear required.
5] suggest top with different necklines and sleeves - so don't get really tan arms with white shoulders [ Ts, tanks, camisoles, halters] and at least one or two long sleeved gauzy shirts to cover up in case of too much sun or wind
6] bring looser pants, such as khakis, cargoes, capris, bermudas, slightly fitted skirts [ shorts, but not too, because where are you sitting while you are sight seeing? A tour bus?]
7] a few dresses, with different sets jewelry so can change looks [ silver hoops and bangles, pearl necklace and ring, beads, gold chain and belt, enamel necklace and bracelet, gemstones [ don't bring any precious stones - have to lock them in safe ].
8] lots of hair accessories - for high, low, medium ponytails; braid[s], top hair pulled back, chignon, headband, french twist
9] pack zip lock bag of emergency medications - Dramamine, Immodium, tylenol, motrin, decongestant, cough lozenges, aloe vera gel, [ rashes or sunburn ], and SUNSCREEN! Put in carry on luggage!
10] don't forget a few swimsuits, a cute one, and a 'working' one - for snorkeling, laps in pool, etc.
11] hat and sunglasses a must at sea- lots of reflected glare!
12] bring a modest robe and slippers you can run in, in case of drills!
13] don't pack too much 'floaty' outfits - on deck, they will blow right up over your head!
14] check travel regulations for all toiletries - don't forget emergency stuff like zit cream, and meds you might need periodically.
Have fun, take pictures, and God Bless!

I went on a cruise with my 8th grade class as an end of the year thing. I wore a long skirt and nice shirt/blouse. Actually I was surprised to find that a lot of girls wore really fancy dresses like it was a prom. So, cruises can be pretty dressy.

A great opportunity to use light, gauzy material...especially those tropical body scarves that can be wrapped around the body in different fashions! You'll probably want to pack lightly, since most of the time you'll wear many of the same pieces in different combinations. The less you have to pack, the better off you are!

Cute and colorful shorts (not too short though), breezy summer dresses & skirts with matching t-shirts and camisols. Don't forget some nice shades, a hat, and a fresh pedicure with sandals.
