After giving us all those dramatic speeches, full of sound and fury, about how their strategy would win the war,---we now learn that most of their nominees plan to "stay the course", and do the same things Bush has been doing.
One wonders why they would choose to follow a man who they called "dummy" for the past 5 years. ---Are they dumber than the "dummy"?

Follow their votes. They vote with the president on every war measure, then go out and campaign against it.
I just laugh at them anymore...

Point is they all agreed with the war for the most part. It hasn't gone as well as we could've hoped, that's obvious, but the democrats are just pandering to what their voting base is saying. Even Hillary wants to leave up to 50,000 troops in Iraq even though she claims to want to "end the war now!"

Bush isn't dumb, he is a graduate of Yale University, and yes the Democrats are stupid overall, but if they plan to keep the war going, I'd say that they were smart in that area.

Assuming your assertions are true, it makes them just as hypocritical and ineffective as the opponents they insult.

All the more reason to kick both parties out and start over.

Back in May, Biden introduced a bill to prevent the permanent bases in Iraq (what PNAC was all about). That's a start to leaving Iraq.
