Spam.

Delete it and delete all the others come through like that. Matter of fact, I send everything to spam EXCEPT emails from specific email addresses, i.e those of my friends.

This is not a valid proposition. I have probably gotten a thousand of these in the last 5 years. They are getting rich from getting people to respond and "help" them get money from some tied up bank account or other fictitious source. Always mark them as spam and delete them. Do not respond to them and as with any suspicious mail, don't allow them to have any of your private information or allow them to install anything on your computer.

Actually the correct term for this type is email is not spam....it is phishing....like fishing they are using some sort of bait to lure you into giving them information that they want like credit card numbers and such

any type of email coming in with some story and needing your help to do something or you get something out of it, or whatever, just delete it.

Yeah, millions of people get those everyday. I do a lot. Haven't you seen Dateline NBC "To Catch a Con Man"? What those people do is talk you into helping them access some bank account that's supposed to have millions of dollars worth, and they promise to give you a couple million if you help them get to it. BUT the catch is, well, "I'm gonna need about ten thousand, before I can give you your two million..." so people are dumb enough to give them every penny they have and POOF, they disappear forever and so does your moola. Pretty crappy, huh?

Probably no virus, but definitely a scam. Click spam and do not join her business.

You should be OK as long as you didn't open an attachment or reply to the offer.
