now days it really depends on the day, up until about three years ago i was tall and thin and i knew i was beautiful, you didn't need to tell me but now i quit using drugs and i have gained some weight and its hard to beleive i look the way i do so some days i feel pretty and other days i dont, so on the days i dont you could probally tell me until you are blue in the face and i wouldn't beleive you but i would thank you anyways

I have been told that but I still have low self-esteem from childhood issues so I didn't believe it. After a while I just started saying thanks because I think it sounds conceited/fake to say "oh no I'm not." =p
