for reasons i would not like to share, what would be the cleanest, most ethic and painless way to castrate an infant squirrel

There is no ethical way to castrate an animal unless you are a licensed veterinarian. If you do this without benefit of medical training and veterinary license, you could harm or kill the animal, and you can also be fined severely in many countries where veterinary medicene is regulated by licensing agencies.

Take it to a vet that is knowledgeable and experienced with small mammal medicine and surgery.
Sorry, but squirrels are not pets, and should be humanely released into the wild.
