Trying to make it into powder form.

open the jar and leave the top off. or, you can pour it out on a piece of glass, let it dry then chip it off and grind up the chips and make it into a powder

I don't think that acrylic paints would ever get rock hard because they're basically vinyl (or something like that).

If you tried to make them into a powder, you wouldn't want to "grind" them down with a mortal and pestle or anything similar because they're too soft for that... they'd probably just smoosh.

You could perhaps "chop" them into a powder though, but don't know how small you could get the particles. You could try a small "coffee bean grinding machine" and see how small the particles would get. (If you'd be doing a lot of that though, you'd want to watch out for the powder getting into your lungs-- don't know how toxic or not the airborne powder would be).

Mix the paint with clean sand and then let dry.
You will have colored sand. Otherwise, let it dry
for a few days. Why not just buy powder paint?
