PNAC Uber Allis. This is the smokescreen logic used by Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Wolfowitz et al to grab for the Ring of Power once again. You have done well to say this so well without giving too much away, or gagging in the process. BushOilCo has used these words to cover their grab for Iraqi Oil Contracts for Exxon and Mobil while Halliburton and friends drained the National Treasury for 15 billion per month. It must take extraordinary blinders for anyone who believes this distorted logic. Unfortunately those that spread this kind of toxic thinking don't believe it for a minute, but are polluting the thought waves for their own profit. Plunderers of the world unite.

Manifest Destiny=Excuse To Kill People For Something One Wants.
The United States is a nation built upon the genocide of Native Americans, so why the hell should anyone be surprised that our government is unable to do anything with regard to civilian deaths in Darfur, North Korea, and elsewhere? The United States is pro-genocide.

No...
Manifest destiny was used to fill the nation from "sea to shining sea." If you remember, propr to WWI we settled into an isolationist mentallity and pretty much thought let the rest of the world destroy themselves.
I think it is time to return to the "good old days" and lock down the borders, equalize foreign trade and quit giving every poor country in the world a free ride on the backs of our taxpayers.
g-day!

Bush and the neocons tried that with two of the economically and militarily weakest countries in the history of mankind (Afghanistan and Iraq). How do you figure the chances of success against a real country?

just like in any game or business venture, you have to know your limitations...any use of manifest destiny is dangerously political and could lead to a fatal error in judgment....better to marshal our resources and survive than to invade and and convert the rest

yes and while were at it let's civilize those savages. we'll teach them our christian ways, then enslave them and have them farm our cotton fields and build our christian missions. those who don't cooperate will not be allowed to take our mystic medicines for the various diseases they will contract from us. the rest will die of liver damage from drinking our firewater or meet certain and violent death from the muzzle of our thunder sticks.
i think you've been reading a little too much mein kampf. and you should probably brush up on your post 1939 world history.

I'd prefer God to make the world in His image versus crooks and thieves such as US politicians.
