My store is an outlet store owned by a famous company. They've only closed 1 store in the past 10 years. Now my store has not been making our Weekly Plan for awhile now. We've only made the sales plan 3 weeks out of the year. Do you think we'll get closed down, since the lease is up in November?

I once worked for a large chain that ended up shutting down completely. Even though we were repeatedly assured by upper management that we were not going out of business, the key thing that tipped us off was that we were not receiving hardly any new merchandise to put out for sale.

If that is happening to you, then you may want to start looking for a new job. I am sure that with your experience, you should not have a problem getting a similar job in a different retail store.

Well you never know what some companies are planning to do, and some of them will flat out lie about it.
I would suggest contacting the corporate office and asking your question.
You might not get a direct answer however becuase they will not want all the employees to quit before they close down.
If they do however one good thing is that you can make them responsible by going to the employment office and filing unemployment and they will have to pay that, and sometimes they have to re-train you or find you suitable work some where else. That all depends on the situation!

unless you can propose to them a business plan that will wipe them off their feet and make sure that they know your store will be making much more money in the near future then no they most likely will not. if you do not investigate your problem in why your store is not making money or therefore do not know how to increase your traffic or profit, you probably have a slim chance in keeping your store. good luck and best wishes to you and your store!

there is a possibility if you don't make the the mark. but you still have plenty of time to turn things around and make a good sale before November comes.

That's a CFO decision and we only have junior league info to guess with . There is nothing to tell us how critical the plan is or how far off you have missed it .
Might be better to communicate with your execs at HQ

It's not sounding good for your store. It will depend on your area and the store's income. Good luck

It's possible.... if your store is not profitable, they will either make a change to try to make it profitable, or shut it down.
