Use the HE detergent. One it will have less suds then the other. You now have a washer that uses less water. The "old" detergent is for 40 gallons of water. If you use it even less of it. You could do two things. One your loads will come out and feel like there is still soap on them. Two. You will "gum up" the washer you just paid $1000-1500. The detergent shouldn't be that more. Not sure if they have a target near you. But try there.

You can use regular laundry soap but in a typical normal load you would only put about two tablespoons in. The repair guy told me if you are using too much soap, you'll get a soap scum build up on the glass of the door. If you see that then cut back more. If you have a membership to Costco you can get Kirkland Brand HE and it's about $10 and lasts forever. Hope that helps!

I use All as well nd I get it at Wal-Mart for $3.96 for 32 loads. I buy the smaller bottles cause it costs about .40 cents less than buying a big bottle for the same amount of loads.

What's it good for, 96 loads? That's about right. I use All and it's $7/bottle for 32 loads.

It is expensive, but you do use less than the normal soap.
Also, there are generic brands of HE soap as well.
