I am going to move to Jacksonville, but before I do I need a job lined up. What are some of the best companies to work for there? What is the best way of searching for a job located there? What is the general pay rate?
Keeping in mind I live in CA and am now getting paid $13.50. And would like to stay at that rate or go up.

Try Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Fidelity Investments, Prudential, Comcast, ADT Security, Merrill Lynch, a military job (including civilian), etc.

We have a ton of financial, military, medical, and insurance companies here. Make a post on Monster.com.

Pay rate varies greatly.... median income is around $35k.

It would be helpful if you said what you do now.

One thing you have to take into account is cost of living. What does the housing cost, be it rental or buying a house. Setting your pay rate based upon California doesn't work. I live within view of Mt. Rainier and a house here for $ 350,000 is $ 200,000 in Arkansas with 10x the land. ........R E S E A R C H....
