How do you train a dog to poop and pee in a specific place?

I got this female 5 month old Shih-tzu and I want to train it. How?

I could have sworn this was the pet section..

Get pee pads (either at the Pet stores or at a home health or drugstore (the ones you use for people work fine), or newspapers, or a litter box. Put it where you want your puppy to go. Keep an eye on your puppy. Whenever it squats like it is about to go, say no! firmly, scoop it up and place it on the pads, paper or litter box. When it does do it's business where you want it to go, give it lots of praise: "Good puppy! good boy (girl)"... etc... in a pleased voice, and pet the puppy. It will soon learn that it gets praised for doing something and will do it for the attention. After a while it will become a habit, and then you can stop with the constant praise.

The only possible way is to make the dog drink AND eat at a specific time, then teach the dog not to do it in the house. When it crys at you telling you it wants to go outside and DO it, then just take it out... and watch it do some circles before letting it all out. Still to this day I have never seen a dog piss and take a crud at the same time before.

If you are talking about a specific area of the yard put your dog on a leash and walk them to that area every time to go then they will start going over there to do their business.

If your meaning inside put down puppy pad and do the same thing as out side but walk them over to the pads to do their business.

you need to buy moth balls. they're little white hard balls that you can buy at like walmart or meijers. you have to put them in your yard where you dont want your dog to use the bathroom. they also make moth crystals. you do the same thing with them, which is just take a hand full and toss them up in the air, so they will land in the areas that you dont want your dog to use the bathroom.

I have heard that a puppy can be litter boxed trained.
