Yes, it can happen. Some women didn't know they were pregnant until they went into labor. It was on the news a year back about a woman that happened to. I am sure you can google it and find cases about it
Here you go.... it happens to "1 out of 2,455 pregnancies a year" (that is, not knowing your pregnant until labor)... Not knowing until after 20 weeks - happens 1 in 475 pregnancies

Unless there's something very seriously wrong, a woman cannot have a period while she's pregnant. You friend's friend could have been having some kind of vaginal discharge during her pregnancy, but it would not have been anything like a normal monthly flow because the inside of the uterus is very seriously occupied during pregnancy.

it is possible. years ago, a friend of mine was having really bad stomache problems. she took some tylenol. didnt help. the pain got so bad, she went to the hospital. well, she had a baby girl. had no clue she was even pregnant. but, the way she got pregnant is totally unbelievable. but the dr.'s confirmed it. talk about a rather looooooong pregnancy.

True. My fiance's cousin had this happen with his girlfriend. She had all her periods and went into labor prematurely and had the baby and never knew she was pregnant. My mom always told me that her grandmother had all her periods while she was pregnant with her children.

Its very possible. My friend didnt find out she was pg with her 3rd til she was 5, almost 6 months along. A neighbor of mine also didnt find out til she was 8 months along and had to be hospitalized. Yeah. But that was extreme. I really dont see how she didnt know, but she claims she didnt.

Ive heard of this happening in obese people or people who have cronic stomach pains - so they confuse the baby movement with their usual troubles. I didnt 'show' till I was well into my 4th month.
However, I think alot of it is BS - my baby was soo active that my stomach looked like a bag full of kittens when she rolled around.

it is possible some women don't know they are pregnant till they are farther along. I heard on the news one time that a lady that was overweight didn't know she was pregnant she thinks that the baby was around one of the fat rolls that she didn't know about it till she gave birth.
