No. Rutgers doesn't have one. But its School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (formerly known as Cook College) has animal science program with an option of preveterinary medicine/research. Spend some time checking out http://sebs.rutgers.edu/ for admission requirement and other information. And yes, Rutgers is a good school :)

Most schools don't offer an undergraduate veterinary degree. Rutgers does, however, offer an Animal Science degree at the New Brunswick campus. This is a good major to pursue in order to get accepted to a DVM program after you graduate with your bachelor's. You will have to go to another school to get your Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, as Rutgers does not offer such a program.

There are only 27 Vet schools in the US. All are excellent but none of them are in New Jersey. Most Vet schools only accept students from their region. Both the University of Pennsylvania and Cornell University have Vet programs and will accept students from New Jersey.

Do a Google or Yahoo! search on "Veterinary Schools" and several links will pop up telling you about the schools and requirements.

Vet school is one of the hardest programs to get into -- much harder than medical school. The requirements are virtually the same.

It doesn't look like it[1] but an undergrad major in biology or, even better, zoology or animal science/behavior would be good preparation. Washington State University is known as being one of the best vet schools in the country[2]
