I've had this happen to me before. First calm down! Getting upset over it will not help a thing. :)

Since the tracking number states "electronically notified" I am going to assume that you printed postage from you computer. If this is the case, when you purchased delivery confirmation on your package and printed out the postage it automatically send the post office a notification that the package was soon to be sent out. In the eyes of the USPS, this does not mean that it was physically shipped out by you, only that you purchased postage.

Normally, when a package is picked up by a postal worker that has a delivery confirmation label on it, it is to be scanned into the system at the post office. But this is not a perfect world and they do NOT always get scanned into the system. This has happened in this instance. When this happens the only other time the package will be scanned into the system is when it is physically delivered to it's destination. Obviously this has not happened yet.

You must call the post office in the morning with your delivery confirmation number. Explain to them that you mailed out the package and it has not reached its destination as of yet. They usually ask you to wait 30 days (yes I know it is a long time) to see if the package gets delivered. In the meantime the post office will try to look into it for you.

PayPal disputes do NOT happen overnight. They normally take weeks. You have a delivery confirmation number, and in most cases, with PayPal, that is enough proof for them to deny the purchasers claim.

Good Luck with your package and just relax :)

Well, #1 you had no business shipping the second one if you had a verifiable delivery. That basically told him you were a sucker.
Given that you sent the second one it should have been signature only.

Just get all your docs together, including your ad offering insurance, any emails, phone call info, etc.. Detail the facts and send everything to PayPal. They seemed to favor the seller when I had a dispute with a seller, but it may be that they communicate in a negative way with both the buyer and seller.
I won BTW.

good luck

I sell on e-bay and took a $793.00 loss from a buyer who filed a dispute.
Pay pal looks at the facts if you have a tracking number, just give pay pal the information you have. It seems pay pal leans towards the buyers.
I had all the evidence that i shipped the item, that they recived it becuase I sent it certified return reciept, and I kept all the e-mails and I still lost becuase the buyer told pay pal the credit card was stolden.
No protection for me, this really makes me want to stop selling but this time I am going to keep going, but if it happens again I will close down my doors!

If you have proof that you sent it, and proof that you sent it to the address the buyer gave you, it seems like you have a good chance. If you have more positive feedback than the buyer, that could also help!
