you might need to get a lawyer since harry potter is a Trade mark and also copy righted. Warner will sue your a*ss as soon as you try to get it put. But you can upload on the web and if you don't charge i thinkthey can't do much. You should consult with a lawyer still though.

First off, I heard she's already doing one so it would be pointless anyway. I wouldn't advise it because she owns the rights...its probably a bad idea. However, if you did decide to, you would have to sell it under an unauthorized title and you would not be allowed to sell it if you included any names or things from the books because all of that is copyrighted by JKR. Yes, or you can go to jail for copyright infringement for stealing JKR's idea.
You must contact JKR's LAWYERS! I am sure they will DENY your request. You are encroaching on work that she has worked very hard to create. I hope you have a lot of money for lawyers as you will be in court and go to prison.

There has been talk oh her doing that..and I pretty sure she has taken the proper precautions to make sure no one can do that but her.
