Is my niece going to be happier than I have been growing up?

He was always a control freak with me and my 2 older sisters, and he and my 14 yr old son got into a physical fight 2 years ago. He thinks I am stupid and that I do not know how to raise my kids, or do anything to better my life. I am just afraid he is going to do her that way too, and ruin her special day. He likes the boy. She moved about 4 hours away from them to go to college to become a physical therapist for special needs children. I want her to be happy, and I wish her the very best, and I love her so much. She deserves a better life than I had growing up with my brother. We all grew up in a abusive/alcoholic home. I just hope she becomes very successful, and has a great life.

Sounds like she is doing well for herself.
I wouldn't worry if I was you. She is following her dream and making it happen.
