Reincarnation.
Heaven and hell is now, in real life.
My whole philosophy on that is: if matter cannot be destroyed, nor created out of thin air, how can our soul just disappear, or be created out of nothing?

Just my thoughts.

my idea of death? Well I just to happen to be rather well aquainted with death. You see, I have been dead for billions of years. About 13 billion, give or take 500 million, since the big bang and the beginning of time. It was only a scant 23 years ago that I was born, and stopped being dead. Life is such a fleeting moment in eternity, by the time we even realize what we have, we will be gone. We need to be as greatful as we can for having life. Because sometime in the next 80 - 100 years, myself and everyone posting on Yahoo Answers will go back to being dead, probably for the rest of eternity.

I'm not sure exactly what occurs after death, but I do know without a doubt that we will not simply rot in the ground. Einstein knew that you could not create or destroy energy, only change it. So when we die, the electrical energy in our bodies has to go somewhere. A lot of people think of it as the soul. The body dies. The soul is superior because it simply uses the body and then lives on eternally, though I cannot say where exactly.

let me enjoy this life which is here and now..
then I also do not know whether any life is there after death..

why make the life of here and now a dead and worry for life after death..

they say, one knows that he was alive only when he is dying.

so that is really a waste of golden life.. Let us Live , Love and Laugh so that Light will come to us when we are facing the Darkness of the De3ath and we may get to know life after death also

In HINDU philosaphy the body is like a dress and the soul wears this dress in this birth. Through out this life the dress (body) gets soiled, aged , torn and spoiled. So it dies or spoiled to the point of no return. Then the soul discards it and goes for a brand new dress (body). The soul is permanent, and live for ever through different births, shapes and sizes. It has no birth, death, pain, old or young. It is immortal and go into the body of the smallest to the biggest. Fire does not burn it , arms do not pierce it nor water drench it.

The above is from Bhavat Gita.

My thoughts. If life is a learning field, then the life after death would be something that uses the things we have learned in this life. For from a baby, we learn to cry, eat, walk, talk, take care of ourselves. Then as we get older we learn to treat each other with respect and to love one another. As we age, everything is maya. or everthing is good. So, the afterlife would be something that is all accepting and all knowing and all loving.

We will all be judged. Where do you think the concept of working hard towards our exams then taking the exams to be rewarded with what grade we acquired came from. Ask yourself whose idea was it?I think, it is something our creator put in us to remind us. Yes, we will be put into categories according to our deeds. And yes, there is Heaven and hell. Those who doubt it will be in for a shock. Even if one does not believe in life after death, what has one got to lose if one leaves peacefully and in harmony with others. If one finds that there is no life after death one has still got nothing to lose but to feel good with oneself because one knows that one lived well on earth.

I believe we will be spiritual beings, able to communicate without talking, and feel each others presence. We will have things to do, we will have a body of some kind at some point and live in mansions surrounded by our favorite things. I think perhaps everyone will possess their own special heaven within heaven including the ones dearest to them, who may be in upteen heavens, collectively and individually, as music will exist. I believe we will be able to breath under water, and come out dry. I think we really have something so awesome waiting to experience we have no means of comprehension of what to expect. I wonder if death isn't the ultimate life experience leading us to the golden palace of eternity.

it is a paradoxical notion... "Life" after "death"
Death being the end of life and the antithesis of life should alert anyone of reasonable and sound mind to dismiss this idea on its surface.
If not, please read up on it... and as the after death experiences ALL SEEM the same please remember that each cell has to die, synapses still fire and memories and thoughts STILL happen during the death process. That is the near death experience shared by everyone.
It should be shared by everyone, everyone is human... and dies.

free from body- no illness or physical ailments- peace, love, joy, rejoicing with family members who passed before you-
eternal existance in a beautiful realm (heaven) .
Did you ever read Embraced by the light by Betty Edie?

My father's friend (was age 68) prior to his death he had a near death experience where he floated above his body, and saw all the doctors around him working on him- he was sucked back into his body and he told my father that all his life he had a great fear of dying, but after that experience, he no longer had that fear. 2 weeks later he died.

I have had premenitions since childhood, and my daughter since she was a baby would giggle and talk to "something" in her room, then at age 3 she told me that she had an angel come visit every night- and one night around age 4 she called me in her room all upset and said "you know my angel friend who comes to see me every night through the window?" I said "yeah" she said "well, she said I won't be able to see her anymore, but that she would still come visit, I don't know what she means"
I sat beside my daughter and took her hand and said "my mom mom was blind, she couldn't see anything, and just because she couldn't see us, that didn't mean we weren't there, my mom mom still talked to us even though she couldn't see us, and this is the same with your angel, you may not visibly see her, but that doesn't mean she isn't there"
My daughter hugged me. I knew she understood then.

Things like this in life make you wonder what it truly is like, do we really go to a place that is heaven like, with our experiences we do know something is beyond this realm, but what ? I guess we will all find out on our own time.
Many hugs- and thanks for reminding me- I lose faith quite a bit nowdays in this twisted and selfish world- you reminded me tonight of all the things that are most important in life.
Thanks!
