You may want to get your facts straight. We all know your question is based on your "feelings" and we all know how you "feel" about hunters but....
The real fact was that DDT is what affected the passenger pigeon.
But of course "facts" are not really that important when you "feel" so strong about hunters.

Worse, idiots brought European pigeons (the equivalent of flying rats) to the US and encouraged them to populate cities here, in an effort to make the US look more like 'home' to them.
The bison herds were cut to 1% of their strength, and less wholesome cattle were imported from Europe to become the staple meat here, also.

It's too bad all pigeons do best is crap all over everything....maybe we should over hunt the whole of Congress.....and people who post questions like this in politics.
