Ok well I have 6 guppy fry and I got a 2.5 gallon lil tank to put them in today. But I was wondering should I have put these 6 in the 2.5...or my tetras in my 10 gal with my other 5 guppies...I was wondering maybe if the babies would do better with the other guppies or by themselves? I had to move the babies somehow cuz I have a serpea and 2 red eyed tetras and one tiger barb and they ate the lil ones when I let them out of the net thingy.I put the 6 in the 2.5 but should I put them in the 10 gal and move the tropical fish in the 2.5 instead? Thanx!!

keep the fry away from the grown ups. like you said, they will eat them. You shouldn't have probles with your tetras and your guppies, but keep in mind that tetras are schooling fish, (ideally 6 or more) and male guppies have flowing tail fins... that said, if you have less than 6 tetras, they may feel threatened a bit by the guppies, and they can be little fin nippers. Keep an eye on your guppies tail fin if you put him in with the tetras.

Good luck!! and congrats on the babies!!

Guppies and tetra's get along just fine(I know from experience) so put the tetra in with the guppies. The Fry will do good in their own tank until they're big enough that they will not get eaten. Hope I helped

Keep the Fry in their own tank until they are about 1/2 an inch long. If you add fry to a tank with other fish, they will soon be eaten by the parents or any other fish. Just keep the fry on their own.

you definately don't want to put the adults in that small tank

You're doing great with your fry in the 2.5 gallon tank
Keep them in there until they are abou 4-6 weeks old, then you can put them back in your 10 gallon tank

hope that helps
