Chinese horoscopes go by the year of your birth not the month. This is the year of the boar. There are 12 animals, so your animal comes up every 12 years. Also, the year indicates if you were born in fire, earth, water, wood.

The dragons are big and powerful animals. Therefore i would relate the dragons to the harvest moon.

The harvest moon happens around september but you have to watch the sky because, in some years we have 13 moons instead of 12 (like in, the 13th constellation in the zodiac?!? huhuhhh freaky).

The native Americans once named each new moon after its influence on earth. One was indeed named the **harvest moon***, and it happened around september. Meanwhile the name for the 13th moon is something like blue moon.

Before september you have the blood moon, not related to dragons but then quite good for the cats, and after you have the hunter's moon, again not related to dragons, at least not as much as it could be to snakes.

if you want to know what year of your sign, it is very easy to check it. But you say the month or the day or the time, they also have the sign. you have to check the lunar calender.
