As if anyone could really say for certain whether they are or are not human. What precisely are the limits and boundaries of "humanity." Are there limits?

and yes it does suck...

Ha ha, humans...such irrational creatures. Always fighting and killing each other. Still dependent on and even defending the very institutions that enslave their bodies and minds, namely government and religion.

So many humans still believe in fairy tales and mythologies, hating those who say they don't. They believe that war and conquest are acceptable means of resolving conflict and bettering themselves. They believe that it's OK for one group of people to steal the earnings and property of others, if that groups calls itself a "government."

They believe, because they WANT to believe. Logic, evidence and rational thought are thorns in the sides of too many of them.

There are a few who are intelligent enough to see the Big Picture. They are greatly outnumbered, though, by those who mistake their personal beliefs for truth.

Humans are still quite a primitive and immature species, not just in their technology but in their thinking. Eventually, if their civilizations don't collapse first from the unsustainability of their governments, their technology may finally advance far enough to start allowing at least some to bootstrap themselves to the next levels of existence, first through uploading their minds into immortal quantum computer hardware, and then as an enlightened few boost their mental capacities to ever higher and higher levels of memory, speed, creativity, intelligence, wisdom, experience, and comprehension.

I wonder how many evil people there are that actually think of their self as evil.

'Nature engenders nature, and nature only, in its reproduction and in its life. The rose brings forth more roses, never anything ‘unnatural’ or ‘unrose-like’. The human being creates humanity, but with this difference: what is human can at the same time be either ‘human’ or ‘inhuman’. The results of human action range from creations which fill our hearts and souls with lasting strength and delight, to crimes whose shame no atonement can wipe off the face of the earth.'
