I want to listen to something new. i normally listen to things like mandy moore,alison krouse,3 doors down, 30 seconds to mars, relient K,my chemical romance,dashboard confessonal, things like that. i want to listen to something else for a change any suggestions?

Even though most of the stuff you mentioned is pretty light, you should open your horizons to more avant garde music that is outside of the realm you mentioned. There is great rock music from every era. Have you ever listened to Lead Zeppelin, Savoy Brown, Captain Beyond, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Jefferson Airplane etc? How about some of the contemporary stuff like, Nirvana, Tool, A Perfect Circle,
Audio Slave, Velvet Revolver, Chevelle etc? Have you ever tried Jazz? Try Miles Davis especially 'Bitches Brew' and Kind of Blue, John Coltrane, Hank Crawford, Stanley Clark, Al DeMeola, Weather Report etc. There is a ton of music out there that you probably would like if you just gave it a chance to sink in!

I am into metal and stuff but I think that you should give this a try. Muse, tool, regina spektor, katy rose, phantom planet, system of a down,fiona apple, garbage. try fall out boy. if u like 30 seconds to mars u would like fob. I would suggest sophomore slump or comeback of the year, carpel tunnel of love, take over the brakes over, dance dance, sugar were going down swingin,Saturday,where is your boy tonight(grand theft Autumn),this ain't a scene its an arm race,yule shoot your eye out,Thanks for the memories,pretty in punk,thriller,hum hallelujah,7 minutes in heaven...Lots more. there are so many songs by them i like. and lots more i cant even name. So many i like and so many still not heard.So Good Luck finding more bands.Oh and one more i must suggest. Is Fort Minor. my fav song by them is Where'd you go?. So... Good Luck

wolf mother, or Xavier Rudd...I love them, both have real good meaning to all the songs and a really good beat/tune to listen too.
Oh yes and classical like treseuropean was saying very interesting music, very mood changing, really effects how you are feeling.
