yes, gently with a washcloth or cottonball (NEVER Qtip unless you are very experienced) plain water is fine but you can use a 50/50 water peroxide solution if you do not have actual rabbit ear cleaning solution. Do not soak the inside of the ear just use a damp cloth or ball. Do not wipe any farther in than you can see.

Look to see if the 'ear wax' is very dark in color. Your bunny may have mites which is easily treated by a drops from the vet at home.

I had my rabbit for five and a half years before she went missing and in that time she never had her ears cleaned and I never saw ear wax. Are you sure it is not an ear infection. To be on the safe side you should call the vet and speak to someone there. Usually the nurses there will be happy to help with advise. Explain what it looks like. If it is ear wax they will tell you the correct and safe way to remove it.

If it is just ear wax then I wouldn't worry about it. If it is ear mites then you need to have them treated.

Maybe if your bunny really trusts you. If you it's in deep and you hit something that makes it jump, it may lose trust. I was clipping my bunnies toe nails and it hated me for it. Good luck.
