I got violated again, for disagreeing with someone, using his own words, in my answer to him, would it therefore be better to report anyone who I disagree with,or would that also result in a suspension.

Keep something in mind. The people at Yahoo couldn't get a job anywhere else, for a good reason!

abenezerscroogexxx -- Yahoo is picking on you, not because you disagreed with someone, but because Scrooge is a disagreeable character and everyone is looking for a chance to get back at him. If you report people you disagree with, everyone is going to blame YOU. If you compliment someone, Yahoo is going to be suspicious that you are being sarcastic. You can't win.

My advice is 1) don't take it personally. 2) Perhaps you could bribe/pay off the Yahoo word police. 3) If they kick you off permanently, you can always come back in a different life -- i.e. Marley.

If someone sends in a report, you are automatically guilty but it appears that if you complain, actual people look at it and actually (sometimes) do the right thing. No. If people reported all the violations in the news/politics sections, there would be no answers or questions. Besides, why lower yourself. Although I rarely agree with you, your one-line answers are generally well thought out and not mean spirited.

a difficult question
they been violating me too bro
thing is they [yahoo] followed it up and noted the poster removed his questions
the change is comming bro [yahoo is taking note]
just be you bro
they must be reported [we do this by responding to the email from yahoo ],who then see the game these poor excuse for people really are , who can only complain , yet never try to explain]
the violation report is the beginning [not the end ]

just save all your posts , and email it [in full] back to yahoo ,when they take it down [they being the half wits who complain] then think to hide it by removing thier blog

You are catching on to how the violation game is played here on YA. Anyone with a grudge can monitor the actions of anyone, target them and report-at-will. The reports do not need merit, they just have to "Offend".

There are people on here doing nothing but reporting, you know. Such individuals are getting kicks by upsetting others.

The policy at Yahoo Answers regarding violations is murky and unclear. If someone says something really objectionable, report them; they'd do the same to you.

Yahoo works in mysterious ways. People get reported for all kinds of reasons, some legitimate, some not. I don't think reporting someone for not agreeing with you is a good reason. Just my opinion for what it's worth.

The person who violated you is probably running around the yahoo office shouting "you have to respect my authority"! you have to use Cartmans voice when you say that.
