I'm wondering how do I install a RADEON X600 graphic card to my PC before I buy it. I don't want to be clueless when I actually buy it. If you could help that would be great.

Just drop it into the pci express slot. Depending on the MB, it will autodetect and turn off integrated video. If not, hit f2 at startup and turn off integrated video

Before you do anything download but dont install the latest Ati drivers for your card(the full ccc version),also make sure you have the latest net framework installed(windows update)or else you wont get to the advanced settings)

Uninstall whatever drivers you have now,remove the card in device manager,Shutdown,pull the power cord,remove the side,get rid of static,pull the old card(theres probably a clip keeping it in place besides the screw),

Insert the new card,fix the computer up again and restart,when you get to the desktop and the found new hardware wizard comes up ignore and cancell it(you will get the hardware might not work properly message,ignore),

Install the drivers you just downloaded and restart the computer,job done.

as Yo Mismo hinted at, this is a little more complicated then getting a pizza.

there are two types of video cards indeed: PCI-E and AGP;
later comes in several forms; alas new AGP card **DO** not work with old AGP slots (different voltage) and may get damaged if inserted in an incompatible slot.
the best is probably to post the brand and make of your computer.

well, you got to make sure it fits your computer inside!!!
you got to know whether it is a PCI or the other one which I just forgot but they are two different slots.. it is a good card!!!
