Well, I hate to spoil the party...but, it's never going to be like it once was again...not in our lifetimes.
-Not when people think of marriages as 'disposable'--as soon as there's a disagreement, one party (or both) are racing for the door (rather than, at least, seeking marriage counseling).
-Not when people remain so materialistic (or need to pay child support to an ex) that both parties in a marriage need to work full time--even overtime--OR TWO JOBS--this leaves them tired, miserable, guilty, stressed, and angry.
-Not when so few children have both parents in the same home--are passed around like basketballs (and that's if they even get to see both parents at all).
No, I can't be optimistic about 'happily ever after'--not with all the cheating, all the time couples spend away from each other, not with how little parents see of their children, not with children getting so little discipline and guidelines...
Sorry, it's just come to that--I wish it were 'the good old days'.
Edit: Also, not with all the people who we discover are using/selling crack and meth. The numbers are overwhelming--and these are the most dangerous home-made drugs on earth. They live on all sides of me (and everywhere else--nextdoor to friends relatives--even those in other states).

In this life ,I would say it is a fairy tale and a definite reality in the next life. It is definitely wishful thinking that will be a reality in the eternal.

Yes I believe there could be if you could find someone that is in tune with who you are and wants the same things in life that you do.

Only in fairy tales because only in those can love actually prevail and both parties keep it strong.
