Take a test first thing in the morning. It makes a huge difference.

Do not stress out. If it happens it happens. I was 26 days late before I had two positive HPTs. Some women do not have enough hormones to show up on a test. I have talked to several people since then and a lot of women have trouble with HPT's not giving the correct results when they say they will. One of my closest friends didn't get a positive result on a HPT until she was already three months pregnant. My advice to you is to wait a couple days and then retest. Call your doctor and see if you can schedule an appointment for a blood or urine test at their office. My doctor however, did not want to see me until I had missed a period for a month and a half. Good luck to you. Keep testing....

Hi there,

You might want to test again, 3 days makes a difference.

Generally though, if your period is late it's because 1) you're pregnant or 2) you ovulated later than usual.

Back in April, I ovulated on Day 27 (1 day before my period was due) so my period then came 14 days later.

If you don't get a period at the 2-weeks late mark, and HPTs are still negative, go to your doctor for testing.

Good luck.

When a period is "late" it's because you ovulated late. Your luteal phase remains the same, 10-16 days, so your period comes 10-16 days after you ovulate. A variety of things can throw off ovulation.

As far as using first morning urine goes, I have never used frist morning urine and got a positive the first time, both times I tested before my period was due. If you are doing it in the middle of the day, as long as you wait a couple of hours and dont dilute it with a ton of water it will work.

With both my pregnancies I was over 10 days late before I took the pregnancy test. I suggest you get a new test, and try early in the morning, there might a chance you are pregnant, but maybe you hcg levels aren't very high yet to be detected. Morning urine is more concentrated, you might get a more accurate result then.
I truly, truly hope you get the answer you are looking for. I wish you the best of luck.
God bless!

I had 5 tests come up negative before one came out positive. I suggest trying a new test first thing in the morning. Either that or wait a few more days. Good Luck!!!!!!!!

I would suggest making an appt with your Dr to have a blood test done. A friend of mine never tested positive with either of her children and another friend didnt test positive until she was 3 weeks late. This is the best way to know for sure. Good Luck!!
