Well first lets set you on which Prelude to choose.
Now after the years past a used Prelude goes for 6-10K depending model, year, condition. Ok dont get the 4WS(4 wheel steering) they suck on performance mods. Ok done.
Someone mention that the Acura parts are beater then Honda um hello Honda is Acura so parts are equal.
Next the ITR has a better reving motor, better LSD short gear tranny, better suspension, better breaking, nicer interior. The ITR is still King of FWD Hondas great balance, admired by all even now at car meets many peopl rush to see an ITR. Its rare amongest its breed of Honda'ers. The prelude isnt bad either. Has great trq price might even be 1/2 the price of a ITR. Parts seem to be cheaper. Might even be easyier to mod since ITR are NA motors and are well tuned. Prelude does lack its resale value of ITR.
Over all ITR is the winner best car choice.
But yes there is a but, driving owning one is scary since theives still love this car. Many people I know got there cars stolen, its something you gotta keep an eye out its scary making sure your not followed. Making sure the car is in a garage, alarm on garage lock and alarm. Its still a highly sought after car by theives which they suck and should die

this is simple the type r trumps a prelude, the type r is lighter as a more aggressive tune and personally looks better. the prelude is heavy and a h22 doesn't make up for that. the weight distribution is better on a type r, not to mention the fuel economy is better on a type r ( if you can keep you foot out of the gas) as far as longevity history has shown that the B series in the type R is more reliable than a H series, and the tranny on a type r is more forgiving than a h series. as far a tuning the type r has many upgrades from the factory compared to a standard b series, with the h series you will have to do more to get it to the level of the type r. the h series top end the head lacks the tunning of the b series and the bottom end tends to be week in high rev high boost (turbo) aplications. besids there are p[reluds every were look on the net at used cars and hondas preludes all over but try and find a type r they ae rare and much more polished than a prelude, dont get me wrong i love hondas and have driven and owned both but if you have the choice and the money go with the type r it is just more fun right out of the box.

ITR hands down, I have no idea where people think the h22 is a better engine, the B18C5 is one of hondas best motors. I would not reccomend this if you plan on going turbo, because the motor has a very high compression. Overall the R is the best bet, light, race track inspired, and R's are rare.

prelude anyday. im not just saying it because i have a prelude, but its because they are more affordable and last longer. Their engines are BULLETPROOF, and you rarely need a repair. you could reach 200 k miles without a problem, where as with an integra, you would be lucky to make it over 100k without a serious problem. also, preludes are hard to find, so youll get a lot of looks on the road.
