The father of my sons is determined that our second sons name be Atraeu. He named the first off the top of his head, it "just came to him" Malaki, and like the first, this name has also "popped" into his head, so... Atraeu Wayne Silvers or Atraeu Richard Silvers?

First off, if you really don't like the name then you should speak up. It's your child too, and your the one carrying it for 9 months and going through all the pain! But if you do like the name I would go with Wayne, it sounds best! Good luck!

Atreau is a nice name. It is from the "Never Ending Story". Malaki sounds like a higher power name. I can not remember where I heard it. I believe it was on TV.
I named my daughter Arielle from the little mermaid.

Tell him to pop it right back where he found it. Save your child from a lot of grief and beatings on the school ground by giving him or her a normal everyday name LIKE Wayne or Richard. Atraeu is a ridiculous name and when written no one will know how to pronounce it. Sorry to be so frank but this child will have this name for the rest of his life. He may come to really hate his parents for giving him a weird name that no body can pronounce and other kids make fun of.

Atraeu? Do you really think your boy would like growing up with that name? I don't think it sounds that nice but if you guys do decide to keep that name, I would go with Atraeu Richard Silvers. Have you thought of Richard or Derek as first names?
