This is not a Windows message. This is adware. If you say "yes" the program will install itself on your PC and somewhere along the way it will end up costing you money. Plus it will most likely slow your system down. Do yourself a favor, download and install both Spybot S&D and Lavasoft's AD-Aware. They are both free. Run both applications to remove any sypware (adware) that may be on your system.

Good luck,
Captain Computer

Your safest bet (at no cost) to "optimize" would be to run two utilities that come with Windows: Disk Cleanup, and Disk Defragmenter. You can find them both in System Tools.

They are trying to get you to install a virus or adware/spyware, your OS will not give you that message, you probably found it somewhere online, right? Or maybe after using some "program" to scan your computer. Don't be stupid and don't install anything unless you know what it is and where it came from.

It means they're trying to sell you a virus. Ignore it, and you'll be ok. Whatever you do, don't download it. simply doing that could be catastrophic, even fatal for you. who knows? You don't have to find out, just don't download it. As a general rule, don't download or install anything the Internet is trying to sell you, and you'll have many less headaches and problems.

It is a scam to download spyware. If it is in a browser windows(internet window) then just close. If it pops up on the desktop, then you have adware. Do a spyware/adware scan immediatly!

sounds like you clicked on a ad, after installing you may find it to be a free trial leading to you having to pay. Also be careful cause those installs usually are packed with spyware.

The previous poster is correct...you got that pop-up in Internet Explorer while surfing...it's a website pop-up that will put spyware on your computer.

It means that some company is fishing you and wants you to click yes. Don't do it. Companies on the web do not give anything away free. It will end up costing you somehow.
