I'm on depo-provera birth control and it has caused me 2 gain 10lbs. How can get it back off?

Weight gain is a side affect of the depo shot. But I do hope your on depo for some other reason besides the reason to have sex. Please don't have sex yet. Your too young to understand the consiquences of this adult behavior. Please stay a kid as long as you can, cause once you do adult things, you loose your childhood.

Forget the fact that you have gained 10 pounds!! Get off depo-provera immediately!! I was on it for 5 years starting at age 16. I was not explained nor did I research any of the risks involved. Now at the age of 30 i have osteoporosis, which is one side effect of depo. I would not wish this on anyone. Try abstinence or an alternative form of birth control, but PLEASE do your research first and get your parents involved.

Because I knew that Depo has a side effect of weight gain, I started exercising more and eating a healthier lifesytle. SInce you knew that this could be a problem, you should have done the same. But I am agreeing with everyone else, why are you having sex at 14, thats still a bit young. I mean come on, you are only in middle school,are you ready to be a 8th grade mommy. The shot is only 94-99.7% effective.

try working out and eating healthier, it may help it may not. I had some horrible experiences on depo provera and I was on it for four years. I'm off of it thank goodness.

I'd never recommend it for anyone. Too many women suffer too many negative side affects of this drug (google "depo provera lawsuit" and read away).

Get off of depo, then start working out, the pounds will eventually come off.

I know you are joking. why the hell are you having sex at 14? stop taking the damn depo and keep your legs closed till u understand life and yourself.
