Not exactly sure what the question is here, but if it is what managers need to make clearly aware to employees prior to writing them up and firing them to avoid a valid unemployment claim, would be what the rules are and what is expected of them and what is not; however, if the rules are in an employee handbook which seeks confirmation that the employee read and understood the employee handbookd a week or two after they agreed via they did via the internet, they are on the hook whether they actually read and understood what was in the employee handbook.

Best lesson...never signed anything physically or electronically for ANY agreement that you have taken the time to read and ask questions if need be, before signing, or you have screwed yourself!
