excuse me, But I think I am a good person with the good of people at heart. I support the troops but not the war, I support getting a handle on illegal immigrants. And yes, I am a democrat.

"Most of the country still finds the democrats repulsive."

Considering how many people have voted Democratic lately--not just in the recent midterms but during both recent presidential campaigns, during which the Republicans didn't exactly win by a landslide--one of two things must be true.

Either a) You're lying, and somewhere around half the country DON'T find Democrats repulsive and in fact agree with their stand, or b) A huge number of Republicans are stupid hypocrites who would vote WITH a party they find "repulsive" because of only one issue, the war.

Me? I'd prefer A, since I don't approve of anyone calling my fellow countrymen stupid hypocrites.

the answer a resounding YES they made all these promises of changing America and they haven't done jack sh*t except get rid of programs that help combat terrorism such as the wire tapping program and cut funding to the troops the republicans will get the majority back next election when people figure out how worthless they are

The Democrats stand for;

1. Losing the war,
2. Eliminating the war on terror (remember they don't even want to call it that).
3. Open borders.
4. More taxes
5. Free health care for those willing to wait for it
6. More environmental regulation = less jobs + more taxes
7. Gay marriage
8. Slave reparations (redistribution of some wealth)
9. Fairness Doctrine.

That is a pretty big head.

It is interesting that you know what most of the country likes better than the numerous statistically valid polls that demonstrate it is actually the republicans who are out of touch with voters.

More people align themselves with the values of the Dems than do Republicans

Hillary and Obama are comfortably in front of all Republican candidates - and only the most moderate Conservative candidates even get close.

The congressional elections are looking at being a landslide to the Dems

Over 80% of Americans are pro-choice at least to some degree

A majority agree that Global Warming is man made and want the government to act on it

A majority want stricter gun laws.

A majority are prepared to pay extra taxes for a health system aimed at keeping people rather than insurance company balance sheets healthy

80% want a living minimum wage

But - please keep ignoring this. The denial of these problems that led to the hiding you got in 2006 and to the embarrassing levels of support for the administration is a large part of the reason the Dems will win in 2008.
