i've heard alot where the affair starts because of the married one meeting a not married one, can they just ever be friends without any kind of lovely feeling for each other?

I don't think it's a good idea to become emotionally intimate with a member of the opposite sex when you're married.

It is possible, but if other feelings do develop then there was a problem in the marriage to begin with. I am friends with plenty of men, both married and single, and do not feel tempted in the least bit. I also don't worry about his female friends at work, that we sometimes see outside of work, because I have no reason to.

no do not think that it works when it is between opposites only when it is with the same can it work like wife to wife ect for i know of no man that would tell the truth that did not think he would be able to make it with any lady he chooses so at some point if it is opposites there would be moves made

My husband and I both have single people in our lives that we enjoy as friends that we would have no interest in changing that relationship to anything else. We enjoy knowing lots of different people and care enough about each other that it just doesn't play that we would expect anything except friendship from friends, single or otherwise.

Yes they can be just friends. My best friend I've known since highschool (I'm 53 now) He has been married over 30 years, we have remained friends, period. I am godmother to his eldest daughter and godmother to his eldest grand daughter. He will remain my best friend as long as we're alive anyway.
