Yes, but it doesn't necessarily mean you are a total barbarian. But you have to be somewhat barbaric to do anything barbaric, which you would be doing even if you were only acting.

It is interesting that people use the word "barbarian", when barbarian is in the eye of the beholder. Romans used this word to describe those that lived in what is today Germany. They thought they were "uncivilized", which is why they used this word. In reality, they were very civilized, just not in the Roman viewpoint. So ask yourself, what is a barbarian to you? Does it mean that person is a barbarian or do you think they are and as such you view them that way. They may not be a barbarian if they think they are not. They look at themselves as civilized and think of you as a barbarian.

It depends... On the one hand, you can just pretend to be one by presenting the features of one, but not being one at the core. On the other hand, while pretending you may bring actions into play - and these actions might define you as one. For example, if you act like a criminal you automatically are one even if you started the act as a game of imitation.

No, because there are many copying habits which work on passing information on but no necessarily coming from the original .A defect of sight and sounds inability to not tag along. or carry bad information. Society is conducting it's own passage methods.

Yes. Simply because by acting like one, you act out the meaning of the word itself, therefore you become one.
