Hi, i am planning on renting watercraft at Captain Jacks Marena in DownTown Disney. Anyone know when they open? I'll be going there in late October. I cant find the answer and after being on the phone with Disney trying to find out, they gave me the wrong extention. It was a long phone call, not cheap.

The phone number for Downtown Disney is 407-828-3058. I don't know if this is the number you have or not. I know it is long distance for most people, but I hope it helps.

Isn't it fun working with Disney? They do these type things all the time, and oddly enough their agents often give incorrect answers and things as well... I finally gave up doing things myself many years ago and it has worked much better!
Captain Jack's Marina opens at 10 a.m. other than the fishing tour they offer which can be booked at 6.30 a.m. or 9 a.m.
Not sure if you are looking for it, but the price is around $21 now, plus tax. That is for 1/2 hour. Pontoons around around $33 and canopy boats $25.

Personally I'd recommend renting at one of the Seven Seas Lagoon/Bay Lake hotels (Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, and Fort Wilderness). Much, much, more water and much more to look at. You just have to yield to the ferryboats and keep track of the time so you are back at the rental place when the time is up. You don't have to stay at any of those hotels to rent there.
